There are many enhancements in GasTurb 11 compared to it’s predecessor. The program has been made again more flexible and offers many new features without loosing the user friendliness which has made the program popular.

A major new feature of GasTurb 11 is that engine dimensions are calculated for each cycle design point if in the program main window the scope More (...than performance) is selected. Then the flow annulus for all components is found from a minimum number of input data. For all the disks an appropriate material can be selected from a data bank, their stresses are calculated and compared against design criteria. Furthermore, the disks can be optimized for minimum weight automatically with the help of the integrated numerical optimization algorithm.

Some especially useful program enhancements are shown on the pages listed below and right of the New button. The last page contains a detailed list of the changes from GasTurb 10 to GasTurb 11.
