Using GasTurb as a Subroutine
GasTurb itself cannot run as a subroutine, however, there are so-called decks for specific engine configurations available. GasTurb decks are computer decks as defined in the SAE Aerospace Standard AS681. The engine subroutine is contained in a Dynamic Link Library (DLL). The Dynamic Link Library can be used with any other 32-bit Windows program, independent from the programming language of the calling program.

The data describing the engine are created with GasTurb 11 as an Engine Model File which is loaded during the deck initialization process. The Engine Model File contains all data necessary for doing off-design simulations. If the deck allows transient simulations, then the control system as defined in the GasTurb 11 model may be employed or the simulation is run to a specified fuel flow or spool speed.

Several GasTurb decks are already available, others will be developed on request. Any DLL can be tailored to the needs of the customer; for prices please contact the author.
