Design Options

The basis for the simulation of gas turbine performance is the cycle design point. For this cycle the mass flow, the pressure ratios of the compressors and the burner exit temperature are input data. Moreover, all component efficiencies and total pressure losses must be specified.

From these data the pressures and temperatures at all component interfaces can be calculated. Also some important geometrical dimensions can be found.

  1. A single cycle calculation produces all the details.
  1. With parametric studies you can evaluate a range of cycle design point alternatives.
  1. An optimization routine with up to seven variables and seven constraints is available.
  1. With a Monte Carlo study you can evaluate test analysis accuracy, for example.
  1. Study what effects on the results have small changes of the input data.
  1. Iterate up to ten input variables in such a way, that selected output properties have desired values.
